Draft for legal review. This page is not yet in force and may change before Accta launches.
Terms of service
These terms apply when you use Accta, at accta.si and app.accta.si. [For legal review: the contracting company, governing law and venue, once the company is formed.]
What Accta does
Accta reads the money side of your business from what you give it and the tools you connect (QuickBooks, Stripe, Google Calendar), shows you a daily briefing, answers questions, and drafts payment reminders to your customers. Accta only reads from connected tools. It cannot move money, make payments or change your books.
Your account
- Accta is for business use by the owner of the business. One account per business.
- Keep access to your email or Google account secure; anyone who can sign in as you can use your Accta.
- You must be allowed to share the data you give us, including your customers' contact details, and to contact your customers about money they owe you.
Messages to your customers
- By default every reminder waits for your approval. If you switch on autopilot for a customer, Accta sends that customer's routine reminders without asking; final notices always wait for you.
- Reminders are sent in your name and your business's name. You are responsible for what is sent with your approval or under autopilot, and for following the laws on debt collection and on contacting people that apply to you.
- "Send from my phone" opens your own messaging app with the text filled in; you send it yourself.
Figures and advice
Accta's figures come from the data available to it, which can be incomplete or out of date. Every balance shows where it came from and how old it is; check anything important before you rely on it. Accta is not an accountant, a bank, a lender or a financial, tax or legal adviser.
Acceptable use
Don't use Accta to harass anyone, to send messages to people who don't owe your business money, to break the law, or to try to get into data that isn't yours.
Price
[For legal review: pricing and billing are not decided yet. Until they are, Accta is free to use.]
Ending
You can stop using Accta and delete your data at any time (how). We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why where we can.
Liability
[For legal review: warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability.]
Changes
We will tell you about material changes before they apply.
